At our friend Cole's birthday party.   So much fun, I think we are going to have to BBQ once a month after church at a park.  The kids got to climb trees and play with friends and the adults got hang out and have adult conversations... not an everyday thing for a stay at home mom.

A couple of weekends ago we all went for a hike.  It was Fiyero's first hike.  I nick-named him "Snack" on that hike because I told the kids that if a mountain lion came and attacked him I wouldn't fight it.  After all, they go for the smallest and that would save Alayna. Oops...kinda freaked the kids out.  The thought that a mountain lion was around did not please them much.  They got over it.

a couple of weeks ago we were blessed to accompany Mrs. Buker's 3rd grade class on their field trip to the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History.  The kids had so much fun learning about the Chumash Indians and playing the the "artifacts."  They also got to catch butterflies and tadpoles.  Ashton had a lot of fun with the other boys and made a friend while hunting for butterflies.  And the best part...it was free!  Thank you Fran for letting us tag along!  Room 8 IS great!

Oops. My bad! I haven't posted anything since may 7th.  Facebook has taken all my computer time I guess.  what has happened since then... Um we went to my grandma's house and the kids got to meet and ride their pony for the first time.Snowball is such a good pony, she just let the kids climb unto her and sit.  They rode around in her stall for a bit but really, it was too hot to saddle her up.  And the of course, there weare all the other animals to play with. We wish we could get out there more but there just isn't any time.  I am toying with the idea of taking the kids out there to stay for a week.  We'll see.
