Rosetta, the last fairy we needed to meet, telling Alayna how pretty she is and that she looks like a light talent fairy.

Yesterday was mommy and Alayna day at Disneyland and boy was she having fun taking pictures.  She was posing like a pro and having a blast.  We took about 120 pictures on our camera and the Disney Photo-pass people took about 30.  One photographer was amazed how well she took directions.

Ashton really likes trying to go on roller coasters by himself.  This one is "Gadget's Go-Coaster."  It is kind of wimpy.  He tried "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad" too, and let me tell you, that was really something.  He really wanted to be brave so he insisted that he ride that one alone.  He was so excited when he got on, he put his hands up and everything, but around the second turn his hands flew down and he held on for dear life.  When the ride was over he admitted that he didn't like going alone and next time he wanted to ride with me.

We went to Disneyland again yesterday while daddy stayed home to work on projects.  When we go without daddy Ashton and Alayna get to ride by themselves.  We went to Toon Town first and toured the houses, something we haven't done before.  Minnie's house was fun... until Minnie came in Alayna saw her and ran out screaming and Minnie followed. I so wish I had my camera on the video setting then.  After that they really didn't want to go in any more houses, but we did.  We did quite a few rides and many things we haven't done before.  It struck me last week that there is still a lot we haven't done.  We have until Feb. 6 to do it all!  Wish us luck.

Ashton had his first basketball game of the season today.  He got his hands on the ball only once and it didn't last very long, but he sure had a lot of fun.  He skipped up and down the court instead of running and he was grinning the whole time he was in the game.

For some reason, Ashton thought it would be a good idea to cut his own hair. The top picture shows his armature hair styling, the bottom picture shows his professional hair cut. I am still getting used to seeing the whole in his mouth.

Guess what happened in the car on the way home from Disneyland?!?
Ashton lost his first tooth!
He wanted to see what it looked like so I handed him the camera while I was driving
so he could take a picture of himself and look at it.
On our way out of Disneyland today we saw Alice and the mad hatter so we had to stop for a dance.  After spinning for awhile, the mad hatter stopped Alice and said Alayna was getting dizzy just like on the tea cups.

Yup.  Leave it to my kids to break the rules at Disneyland.  Daddy and Alayna went on the jungle cruise while Ashton and I went on Indiana Jones.  When we got off the ride I saw Alayna waiting for us.  I was struck instantly by the humor in what I saw.  When I tried to take a picture of Alayna on the rocks in front fo the "No climbing on the rocks" sign Ashton was already on his way up.
Space Mountain is one of our family's favorites. Check out Alayna's hair.
We got a bucket of popcorn at Disneyland and for some reason Alayna became the self-appointed boss of the popcorn.  She would only allow us a little at a time and insisted on saving some for later.

Happy New Year!  We are eagerly awaiting all the blessings that God has in store for us in 2009.  Shawn and I had a great time at Krystle's party last night but really, we should not stay out until 5 in the morning.  Praise be to God for keeping us safe.  Not only did we have to be alert for crazy drunk drivers, but the fog was so thick we could see at most 50 feet.
