May 1st. I take Alayna out to buy Carson's birthday card, because we are already out we stop by Michael's to pick up a cake pan for Darlene. Next door it Michael's is PetSmart. After shopping at Michael's well behaved children in our family are allowed to go see the bird, fish, rodents, and reptiles. So...Alayna and I make our way around the store and look at all the animals. We have been talking about getting a dog for awhile and had decided that a Mini Poodle would be the right breed for us at this time, there are always some at our county's shelter. We are going to wait a little while longer (we think) but I am doing my homework so we go to the back of the store where the groomers are to inquire about the cost. They ask me if I have the dog with me and I explain that we are planning to adopt and I am figuring out all the costs involved. They ask me if I know which dog we are going to adopt, I tell them no we are still waiting for the right one. They tell me they have him in the back and they will be right out. Sure enough they bring out a little poodle/jack russell mix. He choose us right away. I sent Shawn pictures and then called him so he and Ashton could meet the dog. We signed the papers that day and brought him home on Saurday.
He is such a good boy and fit s so well in our family. It's not often that dogs for rescues adjust so well so fast I think that we are blessed to have him just as much as he is blessed to have us.
Fiyero turned 1 on april 1st and came to us house trained and ready to be loved and follow us everywhere. He sleeps through the night in his crate and only chews on his stuff.
